A Tribute to Breast Cancer Survivors

Breast cancer survivors who wish to be recognized may pick up their complimentary pink cap provided by Zeta Tau Alpha at the Think Pink Café located inside the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. The Think Pink Café will open at 6:45am. Survivor activities include a breakfast provided by Dr. Rob Schmid, group photo and recognition ceremony. We would also like to invite participants to recognize those special people who have been touched by breast cancer. “In Memory of” and “In Celebration of” back signs will be available for all Race participants. Visit the Race Expo

Visit exhibits, enjoy a variety of entertainment, and get product samples and breast cancer educational materials from our Race sponsors and Community Grant recipients in our Race Expo area.

PLEASE NOTE:  The Expo Area will open at 9am.  All participants should be at the startline by 8:15am.

    Kids for the Cure

Does your child want to be a Komen Kid? Wentz Orthodontics is proud to sponsor the 2009 Kids for the Cure®. Each child who registers will receive an official Komen Race for the Cure® shirt and a Wentz kids shirt (while supplies last) and may attend the Komen Kids Korner on Race day. The Korner is hosted by Wentz Orthodontics and has a variety of fun activities and games that will take place during and after the Race at the northwest parking lot. See entry form for registration fee and more information.

    Safety: Strollers, Pets and Wheels

    • Please do not bring pets to the event.
    • For the safety of all participants we discourage the use of inline skates and recreational scooters.
    • We ask participants with strollers to line up behind runners so that they can enter the course first.
